How many apps are there, and what's the difference between Core and add-ons?

16 apps across six pillars. Six Core HR apps (Home, People, Time, Lifecycle, Docs, Admin) are included in every tenant — you cannot un-bundle them. Ten add-on apps (Hire, Develop, Pay, Rewards, Voice, Cases, Travel, Assets, Compliance, Insights) are available bundled by edition or à-la-carte per-user-per-month. Pay is included as a default add-on from Starter.

What's in a country pack? How long to add a new country?

Statutory rules as data records: tax slabs, social-security contributions, gratuity formulas, statutory leaves, statutory reports, bank file formats, and local labour-law guards (e.g., LK Termination Act 1971, IN POSH IC, UAE WPS, LK Maternity 84-day). Adding a new country takes about 4 engineer-weeks after MVP because rules are data, not code.

Is there a free trial? How do I cancel?

Yes — 14 days, no credit card required, Starter edition. Self-serve cancellation from your account portal. No cancellation fee on monthly plans; annual plans terminate at the end of the billing period. Talk to sales for tailored Professional and Enterprise quotes.

How long does implementation take?

Starter: self-serve, set up in a weekend. Professional: 4–8 weeks with an onboarding manager. Enterprise: 3–6 months with a dedicated implementation partner. Data migration assistance included for Professional and Enterprise (we've helped from Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Darwinbox, Zoho, Keka, BambooHR, ADP, custom Excel).

Where is my data stored? Can I bring my own keys?

Default region per tenant — LK tenants in Singapore, IN tenants in India, AE tenants in UAE, EU tenants in EU. Enterprise tenants can specify region at contract time. Customer-Managed Encryption Keys (CMK) are available in Enterprise edition — you hold the cryptographic root.

Can Copilot do things for me, or just answer questions?

Both. It answers grounded in your tenant data and the help knowledge base, and it can take actions — apply leave, draft letters, run reports, find employees by criteria, summarise records. Every action that modifies data goes through a multi-step confirmation gate with a plain-English preview. Terminations, salary changes, and disciplinary outcomes cannot auto-execute — they open for review only (EU AI Act requirement).

If I leave, can I take my data?

Yes — full data export at any time in standard formats (CSV, JSON, SQL dump for Enterprise tenants). Your data is yours. No fee to export. Built on Odoo 19 Community with standard PostgreSQL — no proprietary database to migrate out of.

Is there an API and mobile app?

Yes — RESTful API with OpenAPI 3.1 spec, OAuth 2.0, webhooks, developer API keys per tenant. Rate limits per edition tier. Mobile is a Progressive Web App installable on iOS and Android with biometric login (FaceID/TouchID), offline operation queue, and push notifications via Firebase. Native iOS/Android apps are on the Phase 2 roadmap.

Will there be a migration path from SMB to Enterprise?

Yes — a scheduled data-copy job migrates a shared-schema tenant to a dedicated-DB Enterprise tenant when you upgrade. You don't re-implement. Settings, configurations, audit log, and historical data move with you.
